Positive health and dignity prevention (PHDP) are evidence-based intervention that helps people living with HIV live a fulfilling, healthy and positive life and reduce the risk of transmission of the virus to others and also improve on their retention. PHDP is characterized by its systematic delivery of a range of combination, behavioural and socio-cultural services within clinical and community settings. SWOP Kenya has trained HIV positive peer educators known as Champions who deliver cPHDP messages, Mainly;

    • Supporting HIV-positive people to learn and practice how to live healthily and minimize the risks of spreading the virus to others.
    • Conduct home visits and support groups to offer moral supports to other PLHIV
    • Offer health education on correct and consistent condom use, family planning, STI screening and treatment
